In Richmond, there is a home decorating bonanza called The Tacky Lights Tour. Astounding waste of power! We'll put up our fake tree (purchased five years ago) and decorate outside with a strand of green in one tree and a strand of red in another. Really is very simple and very beautiful and I don't think we'll be confused with a casino! Katy you always make me chuckle. I believe Home Depot is offering a $3 credit on any old-style strings you turn in (even if they're broken) towards the new LED style. It made me think of the Griswolds. We never put up lights on our house..maybe a little garland (given to us by the 'rents). Even when I lived with my parents, they would put one string of lights on their porch bannister at the most.
