I think that freshly grown lettuce and carrots make a beautiful bouquet. Don't you agree?

Lovely. Now I’m thinking about beautiful foods. Rainbow chard. Flowering herbs. Peas (sweet pea flowers are, after all, normal old peas). Rosemary for the fragrance. Different colors of mini hot peppers. Squash blossoms.

Huh – if I’m ever planning a green event maybe I’ll use these thread as the basis for reusable table decorations.

LOL! I was just thinking the other day that I’d much prefer it if my hubby gave me a bouquet of lettuce than a bouquet of flowers!

You look lovely Katy, but why stop at the bouquet? You might want to incorporate a lavender hair clip or, even better, jewelry made from dried fruits and vegetables. Perhaps it’s the next hot thing. Check it out:

I think some beets would be a nice touch as well.

I do! I don’t understand the distiction between ornamentals and fruit and veg. Fruit trees and vegetables look just as atractive plus they pull their weight with respect to provided food AS WELL as appearing attractive

Dried wheat. Looks classic and lasts about forever. Regular dried weeds if wheat’s not available.

I always think tomatoes and red peppers are gorgeous.

The food is beautiful, but not nearly as lovely as Katy! That sly look is so darn familiar… and you haven’t changed one little bit since high school. It’s amazing.

Once when I brought some carrots home from the food co-op, my son took a liking to the green tops (he was about 6 at the time) and insisted that I put them in a vase to display—so I did, and they looked great, so bright and fresh!
