Five Frugal Things -- Hooters & Free Pizza!

1) I woke up to this lil' eBay Goodwill Gift Card Challenge sale. I listed itall the way back in January and set it aside. I bought it at the bins because it was A) lightweight; and B) funny.

The profit after eBay fees was $11.50, which isn't too bad considering how little it weighs. I spent maybe 25¢ on it.

2) I ordered a half price gluten-free Domino's pizza for my daughter, but it must've taken too long to be delivered as I got an apology email offering me a free medium size pizza as compensation. It has to be redeemed in the next week, but I'll for sure be taking them up on that offer!

Free food is my love language.

3) I stopped at Trader Joe's for bananas and a basil plant and happily accepted a blueberry scone and strawberry sample plate. I wish every errand came with a delicious snack.

Perhaps pigs in a blanket at the post office or miniature sandwiches at the library? DMV ravioli? Attorney office sliders?

4) I sold the "Measure" wall hanging through Marketplace for $20. Sold in slightly more than 24 hours, which is always extra satisfying. I don't know what the wood was, but it was very lightweight.

5) I transplanted the $4.49 basil plant into my garage sale freebie flowerpot from last month. Hopefully I'll be able to nurture this plant into a full summer of fresh basil.

Now your turn, what frugal things have you been up to?

    2. DH and I were invited to a friend's house for homemade pizza and Almond cookies last night. Nice to have a cooking-free night. We'll have this couple over some night in June. We switch off monthly.
    3. We walked some wooded trails near our house for exercise yesterday. It was windy enough to keep the Mayflies at bay.
    4. I'm disgusted at the gas prices but one small satisfaction is knowing the people who voted the Orange Man (?) in are paying the same price. Hope they see it.
    5. Using yesterday's water from the teakettle to water plants, washing in cold water and hanging laundry outside, reading my library book, eating at home, all the usual.
