The Compact (buy nothing new) movement that I have been part of for the past year-and-a-half just got a bit more attention.
And suddenly the Yahoo Group that had been coasting along at 9000+ members got a lot more members.
Cool.

Every media outlet is filled with stories about recycling and re-using as a way to save money. I think it's great if it gets more people to consider the environmental benefits too -- hopefully that message will "stick" when/if the economy rebounds.
