Click here to watch a hilarious Saturday Night Live skit entitled, “Don’t Buy Stuff.”
It’s all about a couple (Amy Poehler and Steve Martin) who can’t figure out their finances, and are helped by a book/pamphlet titled, “Don’t Buy Stuff You Cannot Afford.”
Simple yet effective.
Click here for the hilarious Funny or Die video “Un-Broke Seth Green Cribs Edition.” The bit about how the “pool is straight filled with hose” makes me laugh every time.
Both videos inject a little humor into the theme of living within one’s means. Enjoy!

My favorite part was how he didn’t really want to brag, but the couch folds out into a bed 8-). This is a Crib I can relate to.
I absolutely love the Cribs video (the hose line = CLASSIC), and the SNL one had me giggling. “Seriously, don’t buy stuff!” Awesome.
my 21 yo son loves to watch the snl clip. thanks for the new clip on the cribs. awesome.
I didn’t get the hose line until I watched the video. Funny!
Thanks for that- my husband and I both watched the SNL last night and he said “brilliant.”
I have to admit- when he walks out there and they show that baby pool, I really cracked up. I was just telling my husband, “who cares what people think? I want a baby pool this year. then whenever I get really hot, I can soak in the water and read.”
boo hoo – Hulu only shows in America – I’m so spoiled getting all sorts of stuff over the net, this was a bit of a jolt.
Loved the skit and the video. Humor usually gets people to think. Thanks, Katy!
AH Katy that was refreshing and funny AND educational! Thanks for the fun!
