Today is day 29 of the July Food Stamp Challenge, and I am taking it easy today. Not only was I zonked last night from working two days in a row, but I think I got a cat hair in my eye that caused the right side of my face to swell up both uncomfortably and unattractively. I took some Benadryl, and my only plans for today include staying home and not leaving the house.
My husband, hearing we had wiggle room in our food stamp budget has started buying restaurant burritos, six packs of nice local beer, ice cream sandwiches and the like. We’ll still be under budget, but without the wiggle room I had anticipated.
I think this is the perfect opportunity to lie in a darkened room and start watching the True Blood DVD’s that I just picked up at the library.
I just have to keep the cats off of me.

feel better soon!!
This happens to me – how do you keep cats around at all is a wonder!
Great to see you! Thx for the add of FB. 😀
Maybe yourhusband could still make a nice donation to the food bank for the wiggle room!
Hope you feel better soon. Thanks for running this great challenge!
Since I am allergic to cats that happens if I am in the room or house with one. It had nothing to do with a cat hair in my eye. I did not know that could happen. Hope it gets better soon. Next time, don’t tell husband about wiggle room…lol.
Same for me with cats, I’m so allergic! I hate that to cuz I love them and can’t be anywhere near them.
Good job on your challenge, you make it look like a piece of cake.
Blech! That does look yucky. Feel better soon and get rid of the frugal homemade cat hair false eyelashes.
Oh my goodness Katy, you have the prettiest color blue eyes. Lucky!!!!!!!!!!
Flirt! 😉

Hope you’re feeling better today, Katy!
I’m super jealous of your wiggle room! You did way better than I did, because I’m either about $4 shy of my total or $3 over. (I got $7 worth of groceries at Target and can’t remember if I counted that in or not)
However, I’m still proud of myself because I still spend $100 less than usual on groceries which left more wiggle room in our budget! And next week we’ll be making a donation to our local food bank (matched by my husband’s work, yay!)
Congrats on meeting the challenge. Hope you feel better soon.
