Happy Wednesday

by Katy on June 13, 2012 · 4 comments

Today is the last day of school for Portland students, which means it’s the last day of middle school for my youngest and the last day of 10th grade for my oldest.

Instead of blogging, (which takes an hour or two) I am going to spend my time planning a celebratory dinner and enjoying my last day of a quiet house.

Have a great Wednesday, and I’ll see you tomorrow!

They have a long school year. Do they start after Labor Day?

Monday was my teenage daughters’ last day of school. They have a special cake that they make every year when school lets out. It’s their own invention — chocolate cake, with fudge frosting and topped with a generous pouring of caramel sauce.

My heart always skips a beat late in the day when I see your email. It’s like getting a letter in the mail. We want more pictures of your backyard and front yard and the unusual garages on your street. Ann
