I will be away from the blog until May 8th, so until then I leave you with this:
Spend less than you earn, but make sure to treat yourself now and then. Especially now.
Make do with what you have, but make sure that what you have gives you pleasure.
Declutter your home, but hold onto the stuff that makes you smile.
Keep your expenses low, but allow for rich experiences.
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without. You know, most of the time. 😉

The extent of my 8th grade Japanese that remains in my brain (1966-2012…not too bad).
Wait!! One more: “Asahi Shinbun wa iie shinbun desun ne?” Which ( I think) means “The Rising Sun Newspaper is a good newspaper, isn’t it?”
Maybe…however, I said that one time at BeniHana…and the waitress (from Japan) said: “It’s very conservative…no?” hahahha
Also, the reason I took Japanese in 8th grade in 1966 is because our school district offered it thru some federal education program, using the instructors from Stanford. My school was in a Chicago suburb…go figure!
ANNNNDDDDD…my dear sweet late mother was a language major in college (1944 -French, Spanish and German) – she was recruited to help in the war effort after the Japanese code had been broken…she was taught Japanese (her ease in learning language was demonstrated, she was a woman not needed on the front lines and they couldn’t use Japanese nationals or Japanese-Americans…) and translated messages for the duration.

Alright. I think you’re going to come back with $138 (of the $300), though my husband says $204. Will you update us? We have a dinner meal riding on this and I’d prefer a night off 😉

And did you watch anyone from the country buy anything? What did they buy? (I always find that fascinating. I like analyzing their purchases!).
