When Kids Come First

I snuck upstairs tonight to finish up the fourth installment of The Non-Consumer Advocate book club, and don’t you know that the boys found me, and climbed into bed to snuggle and goof around.

So instead of a book club piece, I’ve got nothing, nada, bubkis.

Because I know my days of boy-snuggles are coming to a close.

I will finish up the book club piece tomorrow, so check back in for lively discussion.

Well, Katy, you’ve just captured my respect a little more! My boys are 22 and 30 – believe me, snuggle days WILL END!

Those moments are so great aren’t they? My daughter is almost 16 & rarely crawls into bed with me anymore. I still enjoy lots of snuggle time with my son, for the time being.

My son just turned 11. I also take advantage of every snuggle opportunity and every unsolicited hug!

My oldest is 22 and she will still snuggle when she comes home from college. She comes into the room and says,”I need momma time!” Yes I admit it..I totally melt. I love that kid..and yes I know I am very blessed. My older daughter caught me by surprise the other day. As I knocked on her door to tell her goodbye and that I loved her. She reached out caught me up in her arms and said, “hey, come back here” , “I love you momma!” She is 25, in grad school and still at home. I am thankful for my two beautiful daughters.
