  1. Let us know what those opposing viewpoints are! It would be interesting to see the arguments for and against consumerism, especially since many of the standard "pro-consumerism" arguments (drives the economy, provides jobs, etc.) have been debunked of late.

      1. Opposing Viewpoints is a series covering many topics. Our high school English and social studies students have used many in this series to research their papers. The goal of the series is to present many sides of issues, and we really need to learn how to see "the other side", to add depth to our arguments. I never knew there was one on consumerism, though.
