Ha-Ha Love those promo codes!
I love this! I will be dropping stuff at Goodwill today instead!
For a minute there, I was really worried about you! All day long, I’ve been telling myself “This is Buy Nothing Day, and just like Katy, I’m not going to buy anything today”. Then I saw this post and wondered if your unfortunate haircut drove you to crazy mad shopping! I’m so glad to see you’re still my favorite non-consumer.
My sister and I are doing regifting and homemade gifts for each other again this year. We’re both broke, and neither of us wants any more stuff, so it works out great.
Love it! Stayed home and sewed a pouf for my niece today and listened to Mannheim Steamroller Christmas music. So peaceful.
I love it!
You crack me up!!
Hi Kate
Thank u so much! I used these promo codes n hope to use them in the future too!
On an aside, I started reading ur blog a month ago n really enjoy reading it!
Thanks a ton!
Regards
Roopa
Glad to hear you’re enjoying it!
Hahaha! So true! 🙂
I use those promo codes all the time, but yesterday I did go out to get some fabric to finish a quilt and stopped at the local pet food store for food and treats for kitties, surprisingly there were no crowds in either store.
Today I’ll shop at an Etsy store for a couple of patterns.
Then I’ll stay home to finish knitting a dragon and a snowman as gifts for my great niece…oh and I want to make a Santa hat.
For me Christmas is the time of sew, sew, sew.
A great post! I did get a few $.99 poinsettias at Home Depot, mid-morning. I sent a couple of them with my daughter when she went to visit a friend’s grandma. The grandma was widowed last year, after a 50 year marriage, and I know the holidays are tough on her.
at first i was like whoa,
and then i was like ha!
you are awesome. i did think of you today even though i’ve never met you.
from an interne mp3 filet–wish i remembered who:
‘scuse me sir, i know it’s impolite
but since kids are starving, i thot i might
just ask some folks to figure out rough
if they might possibly have enough.
sure, more might be better but maybe it’s worse.
stuff taxes your serenity as well as your purse.
so would you say as if it were true:
“i have enough….i do…
i have enough….do you?”
well, hello mr. buffet and mr. gates.
i wonderin’ if you could congregate
billionaires like you who might have a few
‘more things than they’re needin’, and be needin’ nothing new.
since our forests are denuded, and our waters are polluted
could your fortunes be diluted…and maybe, contributed?
and would you say and have it be true:
“i have enough…i do…
i have enough…do you?”
Thank you so much for this. I’m having in-box fatigue today. I’m starting to feel like I must be missing out on something. Re-reading this post is affirming my resolve. I’m so grateful to you, Katy.
“In-box fatigue,” I love this!
