Happiness is . . .
Sitting on a freshly shampooed Goodwill rug watching old “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” episodes while working on a craft project.
Your turn. What makes you happy?

Music makes me happy.
I love music. I love singing to music. I love singing without music. I love dancing to music. I love playing music. I love listening to music.
Which isn’t to say I’m highly talented, but that’s not even the point, is it?! 😀
Sitting in the heat with a fan blowing on me, a cold magic bag (rice sack) on my neck, and eating a bowl of frozen cherries, and an excuse to sit and browse some blogs because it’s too hot to want to do anything.
Ooh, getting into a freshly made bed with a good book -which I will be doing in an hour or two.
Thunderstorms. I love curling up with a good book while thunder rumbles and rain pours on the roof.
Making my daughter laugh uncontrollably without trying.
Cuddling with any of the animals in the house.
The feel of my scalp when my hair is freshly washed.
The smell of fresh cut grass.
New songs and/or videos by my favorite Kpop artists.
The smell of books.
Watching my son sleep in his ‘big boy bed’ and reading some of my favorite blogs.
I want to know about the craft project!
Playing in the creek and climbing over rocks with my kids and seeing them get as much enjoyment as I did when I was their age.
Packing up my daughter’s “stuff” that she left here after she didn’t come back from college 3 years ago. We’re off to deliver it tomorrow to the house her and her husband bought. We’ve gotten rid of a truck load of clutter. In the 90+ degree heat, my husband and I are calling it our “labor of love.”
The weekend is here! Baklava with friends tonight, farmers’ market AND the citywide garage sale tomorrow!
I love lying in my pillow top bed with a new book and a heating pad. Makes me feel good. I like it when one of my dogs snuggles up to my back when I am sleeping on my side. I love having hot water. I love wearing 10 year old Cole Haan loafers that have been resoled that still Look Good.
ooh, resoled shoes make me happy, too. I need to get new rubber heel taps on my sandals. I love knowing that I will be able to wear them almost forever by getting them resoled.
Reading a brand new library book in the hammock under the willow tree.
Make room for me!

My Heavenly Father.
Reading, Reading, Reading!
Getting into bed with sheets fresh off the line.
Pretty painted toenails.
Red shoes.
Friends.
A good home cooked meal.
Christmas music.
Old movies.
Coca Cola.
Laughter.
And especially my family….
LIFE IS GOOD!
Sorry if this double posts….it didn’t work the first time.
A clean kitchen and laundry hanging out to dry…..that’s where I’m at now after working all morning.
Home-made vegetarian sushi, fresh corn on the cob, and garden picked green beans.
I love frugal summers!
A fantastic find at Goodwill makes me happy — like last night when I came across a Columbia long sleeve shirt in my husband’s size new with tags AND a Banana Republic button shirt in my son’s size new with tags!! Also — time with family, the luxurious treat of a pedicure, and having a paycheck!
Thrifting! And could we see a picture of this rug?!
I’ve had the rug for years, it’s just newly shampooed!

Using up the last bit of romaine lettuce before it rots, french bread before it’s too stale and leftover steak to make a killer steak caesar salad and NONE of that food went to waste.
Oooh . . . I get an embarrassingly enormous sense of accomplishment when I do that as well!
Katy
Eating fresh, local blueberries!
That first long hot shower at home after four days of camping!!!
Snuggling with my cats.
Fresh cherries.
Snowstorms so bad I get a day off of work.
Fresh sheets and fresh jammies after a long soak in the tub (where I used my homemade soap).
Eating lunch with my sisters on Sister Day.
Hearing and saying, “I love you”.
Northern lights.
The singing of night bugs in summer.
The way my horse smells.
Homemade pickles.
Making stuff with my 8yo son.
Last weekend, made a wind chime/mobile type creation out of driftwood, shells and fishing line.
We didn’t catch any fish but this was a fun way to end the weekend.
